PURPOSE:To improve the stability of pictures by eliminating the occurrence of ground fogging by a method in which a thermal color-forming layer containing a leuco dye and a developer is provided on a supporter and an overcoat layer containing a compound as represented by a specific formula is provided on the thermal color-forming layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal color forming layer containing a leuco dye and a developer is provided on a supporter, and an overcoat layer containing a compound as represented by the formula I is provided on the thermal color-forming layer. As the leuco dye, leuco dye compounds of triphenylmethane series, fluoran series, phenothiazine series, or Auramine series may be used preferably. Also, as the developer, gallic acid, salicylic acid, 3-isopropylsalicylic acid, etc., may be cited. The presence of the overcoat containing Zn-thiocyanate-antipyrin complex, as represented by the formula I, eliminates the occurrence of ground fogging and prevents the lowering of density of color pictures. |
