This output shaft 7 is composed of a rack shaft 7a having a rack gear section 17 meshed with the pinion gear section of the pinion shaft 5 and a power assist shaft 7b coupled to the shaft 7a by abutment welding, etc. Further, a ball-screw shaft section 30 is provided on the power assist shaft 7b, and the power of an electrical power motor 8 is transmitted to the section 30 by means of a power transmission device 10.</p> |
