PURPOSE:To enable uniform contact pressure to be obtained between a regulator and a sleeve by using a regulating member formed by bonding a soft elastic body made of a silicon rubber having a specified hardness to a support made of a spring having a specified strength. CONSTITUTION:The regulating member 7 for regulating an amt. of toner to be attached onto the sleeve 6 is composed of the support 7-a made of a plate spring having a tensile strength of >=95kgf/mm<2> and a yield strength of >=68kgf/ mm<2>, and the soft elastic body 7-b made of a silicon rubber having a surface energy of <=30dyne/cm and a hardness of 30-70 deg. at the part in contact with the sleeve 6, and the bonding method may be vulcanizing bonding or heat bonding, so long as the surface of the body 7-b does not undulate, thus permitting uniform contact pressure between the sleeve 6 and the regulating member 7 to be maintained without deforming for a long term. |
