PURPOSE:To cool wine in a cup to a temperature agreeable to drink, by filling water in an ice ball, bonding the ice ball to the back of a suction pad, freezing the water, and pressing the pad to the bottom of a cup, etc. thereby attaching the ice ball to the cup. CONSTITUTION:An ice ball 2 filled with water 1 is bonded to the back 4 of a suction pad 3 having a lug 6 at the shoulder 5. The water in the ice ball is frozen, and the suction pad 3 pressed to a proper part of the inner bottom 18 or side wall 19 of the cup 17 to effect the suction and fixing of the ice ball to the cup. Wine, etc. is poured into the cup 17, and cooled with the ice ball 2. When the wine is cooled, it is drunk by tilting the cup. Although the ice frozen in the ice ball 2 melts gradually during the above procedure, there is no dilution of the wine in the cup. Since the ice ball 2 is fixed to the cup 17 with the suction pad 3, the falling off of the ball can be prevented. The ice ball can be removed from the cup by pushing the lug 6 with a bar 20. |
