摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To keep off a drop in the displacement of a turbocharger after selection, by controlling a displacement variable device in a direction gradually increasing turbine displacement after being selected from control by the displacement variable device to that by an exhaust bypass valve. CONSTITUTION:A deviation between desired supercharging pressure and supercharging pressure out of a supercharging pressure detecting device 2 is calculated by a deviation operational device 9. Each controlled variable of an exhaust turbine displacement variable device 7 and an exhaust bypass valve 8 is calculated according to a running state inclusive the deviation by both first and second controlled variable operational devices 3 and 4. A running range is discriminated by a running range discriminating device 10 which discriminates the running range performing feedback control, making either of first and second controlled variable operational devices 3 and 4 perform operation of the controlled variable corresponding to the deviation selectively. After selection from control by the displacement variable device 7 to that by the exhaust bypass valve 8, the controlled variable of the displacement variable device 7 is controlled in a direction gradually increasing turbine displacement.</p>
