PURPOSE:To make harden and to prevent surface roughing, by cold-working an alloy in a solid-solution state containing prescribed percentage of Mg, Al, Si, Mn, Ni, Zn, Ga, etc., and heat-treating it at a temp. below the recrystallization temp. CONSTITUTION:The alloy in the solid-solution state consisting of, by weight, 1-35%, in total, of >=1 kind among <=2% Mg, <=h10% Al, <=2% Si, <=20% Mn, <=30% Ni, <=30% Zn, <=15% Ga, <=10% Ge, <=4% As, <=4% Nb, <=10% Pd, and <=30% Au is refined. The alloy is cold-formed into the shape of the cooling body for manufacturing quenched metallic strip, which is heat-treated at the temp. below the recrystallization temp. of the above alloy. |
