PURPOSE:To obtain a device capable of carrying out an electronic editing easily with a simple construction and an inexpensive cost by constituting the second reproducing circuit to which a reproducing signal is fed from a recognition reproducing rotation magnetic head only by a sound reproducing circuit. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic editing, a recording signal recorded already in an inclined track on a magnetic tape TP is reproduced by an ordinary repro ducing and previously reproducing rotation magnetic head A. A digital video signal and digital sound signal are then taken out by the first reproducing circuit 1 respectively and supplied to D/A converters 5V, 5A to D/A convert and monitored and reproduced to search the inclined track to be edited and recorded. Thereafter, by a recording rotation magnetic head R, a mixed signal of new digital video signal and digital sound signals is recorded on the inclined track and thereafter, the recording signal of the inclined track edited and recorded is reproduced by a recognition reproducing rotation head C, only the digital sound signal is taken out by the second reproducing circuit 2, supplied to the D/A converter 5A to D/A convert and monitored, reproduced and recog nized.
