<p>A water aeration apparatus is described having a mixing impeller connected to the drive motor via a vertical shaft without gearing. To improve the aeration efficiency, the ventilator coaxial to the mixing impeller is arranged above the drive motor, which ventilator is surrounded, as is also the drive motor, by a air transport pipe which conically tapers towards the mixing impeller. The shaft of the mixing impeller can be designed as a hollow shaft at least from the bottom to the part projecting above the liquid surface, which hollow shaft projects below the mixing impeller and is furnished with air inlet orifices in its part lying above the liquid surface.</p> |
