PURPOSE:To easily change the position of a coupler and fit the coupler, and to improve the coupling precision by providing a coaxial cable provided with a sit in the axial direction of an external conductor corresponding to a center conductor, and a coupler which is coupled electrostatically through the slit to allow transmission to and from terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:The coaxial cable 10 constituting a main line has its center conductor 11 in the center of a cylindrical external conductor 12 at a specific interval, and the slit 13 is formed in the external conductor 12 axially corresponding to the center conductor 11. The coupler 14 is constituted in such a coaxial cable form that its center conductor 15 is connected to the external conductor 17 through a load resistor 16 for impedance matching, and when the slit 18 of the coupler 14 is set at a specific axial position opposite the slit 13 of the coaxial cable 10, the center conductor 15 is coupled with the center conductor 11 electrostatically through the sits 18 and 13 and the external conductor 17 is coupled with the external conductor 12 electrostatically opposite each other at a specific interval. Namely, the coupler 14 when coupled is only placed on the coaxial cable 10 to complete the operation.
