A rolling bearing assembly comprises an outer race 17 with an axially extending lip 19, a plastics seal case 27 having an axial portion 28, said portion engaging the inner annular surface of the lip and carrying a reinforcing member 33 of substantially equal coefficient of thermal expansion to lip 19. In Fig. 3 case 27 is moulded partly around metal reinforcing ring 33, plastics material filling holes 35 in flange 34 to retain the ring. The case 27 is inserted axially into the lip, the seal case first constricting and then expanding when bead 36 reaches the recess 20. In Fig. 4 (not shown), a plastics projection enters a recess (20) and contains a wire (43). In Fig. 5 (not shown), a cylindrical portion (286) contains a cylindrical ring and engages an unrecessed lip.
