PURPOSE:To improve the strength of joints without lowering acoustic characteristics and working efficiency of processes by welding a diaphragm made of a thermoplastic plastic film and an edge by ultrasonic work and making one-shot fusion welding while leaving reticulated traces of welding on the joint. CONSTITUTION:The diaphragm 20 and edge 30 are made of thermoplastic film. Joining of the two is made by one-shot fusion welding by using ultrasonic work. notches 43 are formed on the stand 40 of the welding machine at a position corresponding to the joint of the diaphragm 20 and edge 30. A horn 50 attached to the tip of an ultrasonic tool is provided through a joined member opposite to the notches. The plane form of the notches is made to reticulated by projected parts 43A and recessed parts 43B. When ultrasonic energy is generated from the horn 50 to the superposed part of the diaphragm pressure held by the horn 50 and notches 43 and the edge 30, the diaphragm 20 and edge 30 are fused and joined. |
