PRODUCTION OF PIPING COMPONENT

PURPOSE:To elevate productivity with less manhour by forming a preformed article by compressing both end parts of a large diameter pipe and by joining with pressing via the insert for joining with inserting a small diameter pipe into the both end parts of the preparatory formed article. CONSTITUTION:A preformed article 9 is formed by compressing the both end parts of a large bore pipe from two opposing directions by a preforming press die. The insert 7 for diffusion joining is interposed by the small diameter pipe 8 inserted into the inner side of both end parts of this preformed article 9 and the large diameter pipes at both ends and the large diameter pipe each other of both end parts. A pipe reduced part is then formed by pressing and joining in a heating state by electrifying the press dies 10, 11 serving an electrode as well. A silencer is thus produced by joining with the small diameter pipe 8 the large diameter pipe with its press forming and the remarkable elevation in productivity is achieved.
