PURPOSE:To supply a rolling oil to both sides of an inlet side strip by rolling the strip in a state of being drawn out to the direction of a rolling line, while maintaining its wrapped angle around a work roll, in a single stand multipass rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:Continuous rolling is performed by passing a strip S between work rolls 1, 2, 3, 4 and forming the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rolling passes between the rolls 1, 2, the rolls 2, 3 and the rolls 3, 4 in sequence. At that time, the positioning part of strip S between the 1st and 2nd passes and the part between the 2nd and 3rd passes, are drawn out to the directions of rolling line by draw- out rolls 5 respectively, to wrap the strip S around the rolls 2, 3 respectively by wrapping rolls 6. Further, nozzles 7 for supplying a rolling oil are arranged by directing them to both sides of inlet side strip. In this way, the rolling is performed in wall lubricated condition while maintaining the prescribed wrapping angle of strip. |
