PURPOSE:The titled pharmaceutical preparation having high long acting properties of cephradine, and reduced times of application, obtained by blending two kinds of materials fixed cepharadine bonded to a fixing agent easily soluble in a digestive tube solution and bonded to a fixing agent slightly soluble in the solution, respectively, with a material nonfixed cepharadine not containing both the fixing agents. CONSTITUTION:A long acting cephradine pharmaceutical preparation containing (a) a material fixed cepharadine bonded to a fixing agent easily soluble in a digestive tube solution, such as a water-soluble fixing agent, e.g., polyvinyl alcohol, or a pH-depending fixing agent such as hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose phthalate, etc., (b) a material fixed cepharadine bonded to a fixing agent slightly soluble in the digestive tube solution, such as ethyl cellulose or white shellac, and (c) a material unfixed cepharadine to which both the fixing agents are not substantially bonded. Since the pharmaceutical preparation shows perfectly substained release in the digestive tube, and can keep effective blood concentration, it can remedy effectively infectious diseases of bacteria sensitive to cephalosporin by internal use, every 12hr twice daily.
