PURPOSE:An insecticide to make cockroaches eat boric acid to kill them, obtained by blending boric acid with powder of animal or fish, dried powder of plant, a milk component and a saccharide component. CONSTITUTION:20-60wt% boric acid is blended wit 20-50wt% powder of animal or fish (especially preferably internal organ, blood, bone or bone marrow of animal powder or fish powder), 1-6wt% dried plant powder (Japanese chestnut, Quercus acutissima, maple tree, sugar cane, etc., especially alfalfa) 0.5-3wt% milk component (preferably cow's milk) (dried product), and 1-10wt% (calculated as dehydrated state) saccharide (honey diluted by 10-50 times) to give an insecticide. The insecticide against cockroaches has synergistic effect by making the most of characteristics of each material, makes cockroaches eat it willingly, further cockroaches can take a large amount of boric acid by one intake and the insecticide can cause cockroaches to die surely in a short time.
