PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency of a system by forming a means for storing a control microprogram muP in a main storage device and a means for storing the control muP automatically in a writable control storage of an I/O device. CONSTITUTION:When the control muP in the writable control storage (WCS) 27 is erased by power supply failure or the like, the control muP stored in an external storage device 210 is automatically and initially stored in the WCS27 by a bootstrap loader in an I/O processor 26 and the processor 26 is automatically raised. If any change is generated in the control muP stored in the WCS27 of the processor 26, the control muP previously stored in a main storage device 25 by the external storage device is changed by a software editing means 34. When the processor 26 is excited to execute initial storage at the end of said change, the processor 26 executes similar operation to that of system rise and the system can be raised by the control muP changing the processor 26. |
