PURPOSE:To obtain a heat exchanger having a stable structure and further a desired flame resisting structure by forming a passage by a base plate and a passage forming paper, and coating the passage with a flame retarder, in the heat exchanger of a ventilator or the like. CONSTITUTION:A polyethlene film is worked in a sandwich shape by a kraft paper, and passage forming papers 6 made of kraft papers having a heat storing and humidity storing property are disposed between nonhumidity-penetrating base plates 5 and 5. A plurality of these passage forming papers 6 are bonded at a predetermined interval in a parall line pattern thereby to expand the non- bonded portion and to form the passage of a honey-comb structure. Thus, the base plates 5 and the passage forming papers 6 are coated with quanidine phos phate to subject them to flame retarding processing. These single-bodies are combined cylindrically to constitute a heat exchanger. |
