PURPOSE:To make life longer and save the energy of a rolling equipment as well as to obtain a high joining strength by rolling with strong rolling reduction at the prescribed rolling reduction rate the part where the connection auxiliary plate having ruggedness on its one face is bridged on the end part of the preceding and succeeding rolled stocks after its arrangement. CONSTITUTION:The rear end part and tip part of the preceding and succeeding hot rolling sotcks Wa, Wb are approached and a descaling is performed with grinding the upper and lower faces by a grinding device 5. On the other hand the rugged surface of the connection auxiliary plate 6 consisting of the same kind metal having an ruggedness on the one face and the width equivalent to the rolling stocks Wa, Wb and about half thickness is quickly abutted to the above grinding face with bridging on the rolling stocks W>=a, Wb. It is then fed between the rolls 4 of a strong rolling reduction rolling reducer with the state of pressing to the surface of the rolling stocks Wa, Wb by a press roll 7 and the part where the auxiliary plate 6 is arranged is made to the same degree with the original thickness of the rolling stacks Wa, Wb with performing the strong rolling reduction rolling of more than 40% reduction of area. With this method a high joining strength is obtainable without by welding. |
