PURPOSE:To enable to record signals with high contrast and high recording speed, by a method wherein a recording material supported in a plating liquid is irradiated with a laser beam and the relative scanning between the material and the beam is subjected to relational control according to a recording signal, whereby recording is conducted through deposition of a plating material. CONSTITUTION:Signals picked up by a microphone 13 and a video camera 14 are converted into digital signals by an A/D converter 15, and according to the digital signals, an NC controller 12 is operated to operate a motor 9 and a chopper 8, thereby irradiating the recording material 2 with a lase beam. The irradiation is conducted through a window of a tank 4, irradiated points of the recording material 2 adhered to a roller placed in the plating liquid 5 are activated, and a plating current is passed concentratedly to the activated points, whereby the plating material is deposited there. The laser beam irradiation under the chopper control and the rotation of the roller 1 by a motor 3 are subjected to relational control by a signal inputted from the converter 15 into the NC controller 12, whereby recording through deposition of the plating material is effected on the recording material 2 fastened to the outer periphery of the roller 1. |
