PURPOSE:To print data in a desired color without changing a program by providing a color conversion table between a color CRT and a color printer and obtaining a requested color from its contents to print data. CONSTITUTION:The system of four primary colors, namely, R (red), B (blue), Y (yellow), and K (black) is adopted in a color printer 13. Since the system of three primary colors, namely, R, G (green), and B is adopted in a color CRT1, the conversion from R, G, and B to R, B, and Y is necessary. Therefore, a conversion table 12 is generated, and various color data are set on the basis of color matching between the CRT1 and the printer 13. The print processing to the printer 13 is performed by a microprocessor 3. In the print processing, the processor 3 generates an address for the table 12 based on color data and accesses the table 12 by this address to read out 4-bit data RP, BP, YP, and KP. This 4-bit data is sent to the printer 13 to perform color printing.
