PURPOSE:Engaging steps of which dimension and protrusion extent etc. are uniformly arranged are formed at an inside or outside surface of a trunk wall of a vessel, by a method wherein when a sheet is pressed in a female mold and also absorbed from the female mold, the vacuum suction from a concaved step of a male mold or the female mold is also performed at the same time. CONSTITUTION:After foamed resin sheet (m) is heated and softened by clamping it at the upper part of the female mold 4, the male mold 1 is pushed in the female mold 4 and softened foamed sheet (m) is press molded, and at the same time the vacuum auction is performed from vacuum suction holes 5 of the female mold 4. In this case, the vacuum suction is performed also from vacuum suction holes 3 of the male mold. Hereby, softened resin is fully filled in each concaved step 2 by being sucked at prescribed negative pressure, and the degree of filling becomes uniform at each concaved step 2. Accordingly, the dimension and protrusion extent etc. of engaging steps (n) at the inside surface of the trunk wall of the molded vessel A are uniformed.
