摘要 PURPOSE:To produce piperidine useful as a raw material of pharmaceuticals, etc., in improved yield, from furfutylamine, etc. producible in a mass from agricultural products, by the liquid-phase catalytic hydrogenation of furfurylamine in the presence of a catalyst using an N-alkylurea, etc., as the solvent. CONSTITUTION:Piperidine is produced by the liquid-phase catalytic hydrogenation of furfurylamine and/or tetrahydrofurfurylamine at 80-300 deg.C, peferably 120-250 deg.Cin the presence of a cobalt-based catalyst, using an N-alkyl cyclic amide and/or N-alkylurea as the reaction solvent. The N-alkyl cyclic amide used as the solvent is preferably N-alkylpyrrolidinone (e.g. N- methylpyrrolidinone, etc.) and the N-alkylurea is preferably N,N,N',N'- tetramethylurea, etc. The amount of the solvent is 0.1-50pts., preferably 0.3-30pts. per 1pt. of the raw material.
