PURPOSE:To improve development characteristics and folding resistance after fixing by incorporating a polymer having 2-10C alpha-olefin as main structural units, a specified limiting viscosity, and a specified acid value, and a binder resin, and a colorant. CONSTITUTION:The developer to be used as an electrostatic toner is prepared by mixing (A): the polymer having 2-10C alpha-olefin as main structural units, a specified limiting viscosity [eta] of 0.06-0.6dl/g, and an acid value of 6-2,000 mg-KOH/g, (B): a binder resin, and (C): a colorant in a ball mill, attrition mill, or the like, then kneading them in a heating kneader, extruder, or the like, after cooling to a solid, finely pulverizing them with a jet mill or the attrition, mill, or the like, and selecting a powder of 5-35mum average particle diameter. (A) is used in an amt. of 1-25pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of (B). |
