PURPOSE:To execute satisfactory leveling or tense leveling of a work even if the work is thin by arranging vertically zigzag planetary work rolls which roll on the plural bearing outer rings fitted to upper and lower arbors and are supported by plural supporting ring directly coupled the arbors and inter- shaft bearings. CONSTITUTION:The plural small-diameter work rolls 4 receive load in contact with the outer rings of the bearings 32 disposed at equal intervals in the axial direction to the outside periphery of the upper and lower arbors 31 which are supported by roll chocks 52 in a frame 51 and are rotated oppositely at an equal speed by means of gears 55. The plural support rings 33 existing between the equally spaced bearings 32 are coupled to the abors 31 by means of keys 34 and support the work rolls 44 in bearing parts 331 at equal intervals on the circumference. The bearings 35 between the rolls receive side thrust as well. The work is leveled between the upper and lower planetary work rolls arranged zigzag by such gears 55. The degree of leveling of the work is changed by the stop or rotating speed of the arbors 31 and the tense leveling is also possible. Even the thin sheet is thus satisfactorily leveled. |
