PURPOSE:To provide an adhesive compsn. exhibiting excellent resistance to water and deterioration under heat in the bonding of PVC to PVC or to other materials, prepared by adding polyisocyanate, peroxide compd. and co- crosslinking agent to a specified polyester (polyurethane). CONSTITUTION:A polyester containing a group having active hydrogen, such as hydroxyl, amino, or carboxyl group, in the molecular chain and having an average M.W. of 15,000-100,000, or a polyester polyurethane obtained by chain extension of the polyester with polyisocyanate, is dissolved in a readily volatile solvent in the concn. of 10-30%. The adhesive compsn. is obtained by adding 2-5wt% polyisocyanate having at least two isocyanate groups in one molecule, 0.5-8wt% peroxide compd. and 0.1-5wt% co-crosslinking agent to the above soln. It is used for bonding adherends at least one of which is PVC having a degree of polymerization of 500-5,000 and containing 30-120pts.wt. polyester plasticizer.
