PURPOSE:To prevent the erroneous operation due to the electric discharge of static electricity and improve reliability of equipment at the same time by grounding a metal member constituting a cassette to the earth part of the body of a copying machine, etc. CONSTITUTION:The electric conduction between the separating hooks 2-1 and 2-2 for separating sheets of paper one by one is secured by an intermediate plate 2-3. The right-side metal parts 2-4 of a cassette trough 2-13 is exposed to secure the electric conduction with the separating hooks, intermediate plate, etc. A leaf spring 2-5 grounded from the body side is arranged, and when a cassette 2 is set onto the body, the metal part 2-4 contacts with the leaf spring 2-5. Therefore, when the sheet of paper is supplied one by one the static electricity generated by the friction between paper is absorbed into the earth through the metal part 2-4 and the leaf spring 2-5 without being stored in the hook pats 2-1 and 2-2. Therefore, the erroneous operation due to the electric discharge of static electricity can be eliminated, and the reliability of equipment can be improved.
