PURPOSE:To reduce the wastefulness of a disposal spray paint to a large extent, by extruding the present color paint in the hose between a change-over valve and a spray gun by the next color paint during the painting of the present color paint and changing over the greater part thereof with the next color paint. CONSTITUTION:In painting a car bumper by a painting robot, the change-over time of the paint in the hose 12 arranged between a change-over valve 10 and a spray gun 8 is preliminarily investigated and painting by a present color paint Ta is started. The change-over tank 10 is changed over at a predetermined time before the painting of the present color paint Ta is finished after painting advanced and the next color paint Tb to be applied to the next car bumper is supplied to the hose 12 to extrude the present color paint Ta. When painting is finished after a predetermined time and the painting by the next color paint Tb is started, the greater part of the paint in the hose is the next color paint Tb and, therefore, the change-over of a paint without wastefulness can be performed within a short time.
