PURPOSE:To confirm easily an area extracted from an original as the object of an editing processing by providing a confirming function to an image editing processing, and displaying the extracted area by some pattern together with an image being the object of the editing processing. CONSTITUTION:In an image processor 2, a system controller 20 controls an image scanner 1 and a laser printer 3, etc. by an operation program, and operates the image editing device as a system. Also, it controls an editing controller 21 by selecting an application program inputted from a keyboard 4a, and executes the image editing processing. In such a state, in case when the editing processing is required, a block in which the object image of an original exists is accumulated in a RAM22, it is fetched in accordance with necessity, and becomes the input of a laser printer 3. In such a case, a display pattern from a form generator 24 is synthesized and printed, and the extracted area is confirmed easily.
