PURPOSE:To initialize the rotational steps of the rotational driving mechanism of an engaging part easily by allowing the loading of a magnetic disk jacket only when the initial position of the jacket corresponds to the unused area of a counter dial and forming a displacement mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When the engaging part 77b is not located on the unused area, a counter dial driving motor 61 rotates the engaging part 77b in the direction for moving the engaging part 77b to the unused area side on the basis of an output signal sent from a control means. When the motor 61 is rotated, a transmission shaft 63 is rotated. At that time, the rotation of the transmission shaft 63 is detected by a step carrying detecting part 69, and when a high reflecting surface is detected by a photosensor 69a, whether the engaging part 77b is located on the unused area or not is discriminated by a dial driving control means. Then, the engaging part 77b is carried in each step until a relief switch 89b of a start position detecting part 89 is actuated by a pin 89a. When the engaging part 77b is positioned on the unused area, a loading control means 203 is actuated on the basis of the output of a starting position detecting part 89 to rotate a loading motor 21.
