PURPOSE:To improve portable and economical properties and also to increase the application range of a medium by securing such a constitution where a single medium can be applied to plural different terminals and plural sheets of media are not needed for each terminal. CONSTITUTION:When the medium 2 is inserted to a device 1 at the remote side, a connection circuit 23 is connected to a connection circuit 13 at a terminal side via a connection part 3 for contacts, etc. Then a data processing part 21 at the medium side can answer a data processing part 11 at the terminal side. The part 21 at the medium 2 side receives the attribute information on a terminal equipment 1 at the remote side and identifies the device 1 by a common program incorporated to a memory 22. At the same time, the memory 22 incorporates the plural types of programs in response to each application. Then one of these application programs is executed in accordance with the equipment 1 identified by the common program. A flag is set at a flag part 24 to designate the application program to be executed when the type of the equipment 1 is fixed. |
