PURPOSE:To perform stable treatment, by controlling an aeration air amount and an aeration time by calculating a pH value until any one of BOD and COD of water to be treated becomes min. CONSTITUTION:A pH meter 7 is arranged to an aeration tank 2. The BOD and COD components contained in water to be treated are microbiologically decomposed and removed under an aerobic condition and the pH of the water to be treated is measured by the pH meter 7. The pH value is inputted to a blower controller 8 to be compared with a predetermined optimum one and an aeration amount is controlled corresponding to the compared result and the adjustment of thereof is performed by increasing or decreasing the number of rotations of the drive source of a blower 4. Treated water having received decomposition and removal treatment is introduced into a sedimentation basin 3 to be discharged through a discharge tank 9.
