PURPOSE:To stick thinly molten metal even at a high speed by sticking molten metal on a steel strip by an amount specified times the final desired amount of molten metal to be stuck in a plating chamber filled with a heated nonoxidizing atmosphere and by removing an excess of the molten metal with a specified roll. CONSTITUTION:Molten metal drawn from the medium position of a molten metal tank 2 just under a plating chamber 1 is sent by a pump 3 to a spray nozzle 5 in the chamber 1 filled with a heated nonoxidizing atmosphere. A steel strip 4 is continuously introduced into the chamber 1 through an annealing stage 7, and molten metal is stuck on the surface of the steel strip 4 from the nozzle 5 by an amount 1.1-2 times the final desired amount of molten metal to be stuck. An excess of the molten metal is then removed with a roll 6 having <=0.5mum average surface roughness Ra along the center line. Thus, the final desired amount of the molten metal is stuck.
