The connecting arrangement (7) is fitted between the support component (3) and the suction unit (4). It incorporates components (8) which permit lifting force transmission between the support component and the suction unit. Also when the suction unit is lowered against the object to be lifted the components permit it to pivot in relation to the support component so as to adjust to any inclination in the object surface. The lifting mechanism has clamps which during a lifting operation hold the support component against pivoting or rotating in a vertical plane. The connecting components transmit the lifting force radially along and around a vertical central line in the suction unit. |
