PURPOSE:To easily exchange a buffer member and to make an elavating means to be one, according to a method wherein a heavy weight self-supporting type buffer member is supported by means of a wheel rolling on a guide rail, a buffer stopping and separating means being disposed at the downstream of a lower guide rail. CONSTITUTION:A steel pipe P supplied on an inclined skid 1 rolls on the skid 1 and is stopped by a stopper C. On one hand, when the steel pipe P passes through an upper guide rail 2, a limit switch (not shown) is turned on. Therefore, an elevating means is operated, and one of buffer members 4 stopped on the downstream end of a lower guide rail 3 is moved on the guide rail 2. The buffer member 4 is stood out by a heavy weight 9, being rolled on the guide rail 2 by means of the rolling of a wheel 5 to contact to an annular elastic member 10 and a buffer material 8 with the steel pipe P, performing the buffer operation between the steel pipes P. The steel pipe P is fed to a conveyer B and the buffer member 4 is rolled on the guide rail 3 at the same time, and the buffer member 4 is stopped at a stopping and separating means 11. According to the above constitution, the buffer member can be easily exchanged. |
