METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR POSITIONING TWO MATTERS BY UTILIZING MAGNETISM

PURPOSE:To position two matters in predetermined positional relation by a non-contact method, by performing the relative movement of first matter and second matter and stopping the same at the point of time when output of a scanning magnetic sensor at the time of circular scanning coincided. CONSTITUTION:A moving means 10 is driven to allow matter 3 to approach matter 1 or to go away therefrom. This movement is performed until an output coincidence judge means 6 judges that the output of a balance detecting magnetic sensor 4 coincides or the mutual outputs thereof in specific combination coincided. When an output coincidence condition is formed, a scanning magnetic sensor 5 performs circular scanning. The positional direction of the matter 3 to the magnetism generation source 2 on the matter 1 is calculated on the basis of the magnetic information of a space and the control amount of the moving means is calculated corresponding to position indicating information. A control means 9 drives the moving means 10 corresponding to the aforementioned control amount and moved the matter 3 to a desired positional direction corresponding to positional direction indicating information.
