PURPOSE:To make a sense amplifier durable even to high-speed operations, by providing a means which drops the initial state of the output level of an integrated circuit to an intermediate level and another means which abruptly changes the output level by catching the level variation of input signals or signals synchronizing with the input signals by means of a latch circuit. CONSTITUTION:The input of an output inverter 10 is taken not from an RAM output line 4, but from the node 14 of a sense amplifier 14. When a timing signal 3 starts to become ''H'', an (n) channel transistor 18 starts to be turned on and the electric potential at nodes 14 and 15 once drops to an intermediate level toward ''L''. When the electric potential drops, (p) channel transistors 19 and 20 are instantaneously turned on, but ''L'' and ''H'' are immediately loaded onto RAM output lines 4 and 5, respectively. When the node 14 starts to drop to ''L'', the transistor 19 starts to be turned on and to pull up the electric potential at the node 15 to ''H''. As a result, the transistor 20 starts to be turned off and the electric potential of the node 14 is further dropped. Therefore, operations act multiplicationally and output data are determined faster than conventional ones. |
