PURPOSE:To eliminate turbulent air so as to control freely the angle of a soft sail against the direction of a wind by removing columns in the rear side of the sail in such a manner that one mast is provided with a soft said winding means and a shackle is detachably arranged between both ends of each upper and lower wire of other masts. CONSTITUTION:On the deck at both sides of a ship 4 two pairs of masts 5, 5a, 6, 6a are erectly installed, at the top and bottom of each pair of masts wires 7, 7a, 8, 8a are set stretchably so as to move freely in the front or rear direction of the ship, between wires set parallely at the top and the bottom of masts of the both sides a soft sail 10 is expanded. Among the masts a mast 5 is provided with a sail winding means 11 in order to wind the sail 10. Between both ends of each upper and lower wire 8, 8a of other masts 6, 6a a shackle 12, 12a is arranged detachably in winding up the sail 10.
