PURPOSE:To enable electrification of a toner and stable maintenance of its charge and development stabilized in characteristics by attaching silica particles to the surface of a developer carrying sleeve arranged near a latent image bearing body. CONSTITUTION:The developer-carrying nonmagnetic sleeves are tested in the 2 cases: Nontreated sleeve A, and sleeve B rubbed with a sponge covered with silica powder under a pressure of 500gr/cm<2>. Reflected image density Y in relation to quantities (x) of repeated copies and relative humidity (% RH) x are measured, resulting in obtaining high image density and stable characteristics in the case of sleeve B subjected to said treatment. |
