PURPOSE:To prevent the lubricating oil from leaking to the exhaust gas turbine side in a large quantity by providing a means that prevents the separation of a seal ring when a part of the turbine rotor or rotor shaft of the exhaust gas turbine is damaged and the seal ring tends to be separated to the exhaust gas turbine side. CONSTITUTION:The rotary shaft 4 having an impeller for compressor at one end of a turbo charger and a turbine rotor 3 of an exhaust gas turbine 1 at the other end has a ring groove 17 on the exhaust gas turbine 1 side, in which a seal ring 15 is fitted. In such an arrangement, and annular projection 20 is formed on a part of a bearing housing 8 outside the seal ring 15, and said projection 20 is intended to prevent the seal ring from moving in the axial direction. The minimum inner diameter of the annular projection 20 is made smaller than the outer diameter of the seal ring 15, and made such that it does not contact the outer circumference of the rotary shaft 4. The outer side of the annular projection 20 is tapered. |
