PURPOSE:To run and guide a tape up to a position near a head gap by providing a tape guide groove, whose depth is about zero, in the front of a head as one body near the head gap. CONSTITUTION:On a head 1, a tape guide groove 2 is formed with a width approximately equal to the tape width. By this constitution, the tape running guide groove 2 formed as one body together with the head 1 is provided up to the position near the head gap, and there are no recessed pats due to the groove in a gap part 3. Thus, a pad is applied to the tape to press the tape to the head gap 3. |
