PURPOSE:To reduce can actuator in weight and to enlarge the effective length by reinforcing the outer periphery of tubes separated from each other in the longitudinal direction with a mesh reinforcement structure, and coupling the tubes with the mesh reinforcement structure. CONSTITUTION:Tubes 1 having each one end sealed up by closing members 3a, 3b are disposed separate from each other in the longitudinal direction. The outer periphery of the tubes is reinforced with a mesh reinforcement structure 2, and the tubes 1 are coupled to each other by the mesh reinforcement structure 2. A pressurized fluid is introduced into one tube 1 to generate contractile force in the axial direction, so that when the presurized fluid is discharged from the nouter tube 1, the mesh reinforcement structure 2 moves towards the tube 1 where the pressurized fluid is introduced, thereby rotating a pulley 12. Thus, the need of chain, a wire and so on can be eliminated to reduce the closing members to a compact size. Accordingly, the weight of an actuator can be reduced, and the effective length can be enlarged. |
