PURPOSE:To produce continuously a relatively large amt. of fine wire by ejecting the fine flow of a molten material to a cooling liquid layer and rotating a drum then taking the fine wire out of the cooling liquid layer and taking up the wire. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal 14 in a crucible 17 is ejected in the form of the fine flow from a nozzle 13 into the cooling liquid layer 12. The fine wire is taken up on a take-up reel 21 after the drum 11 makes at least one turn, i.e., with the one circumferential delay. Then the fine wire taken up on the take-up reel 21 is thoroughly solidified and therefore the generation of an accident such as disconnection is obviated. |
