PURPOSE:To prevent the partial stripping of color of character displayed on a TV scope, by controlling a character signal so as to be outputted during the output period of chromatic signal converted from an RGB signal. CONSTITUTION:R or G or B signal inputted from a terminal 14 is sent to a D flip-flop (F1)11, and outputted from an output terminal Q1 of (F1)11 by the raise of a clock input sent from a terminal 15. This signal is then outputted from the output terminal Q2 of (F2)13 by the next raise of the clock. These output signals from Q1 and Q2 are sent to GRB signal chromatic signal conversion circuit together with a VRCS signal which is obtained by eliminating OR from the GRB issued from a terminal 17. The chromatic signal converted from GRB signal by GRB signal chromatic signal conversion circuit is outputted from the conversion circuit. The timing of these 2 signals, signal VOD and chromatic signal, is outputted from composite video signal output terminal during the time when the chromatic signal is outputted from the RGB signal chromatic signal conversion circuit.
