PURPOSE:To enable correct track indication corresponding to navigating state, by detecting the ongoing direction of own ship to reduce the time constant of a means for averaging position data when it is judged that the ongoing direction changes above a fixed angle. CONSTITUTION:Position data of a navigation signal receiver 1 which receives a navigation signal to measure the position of own ship is averaged with an averaging circuit 2 and the averaged data is converted to latitude/longitude data with a coordinate converter 4 to be indicated on a display 5 as track. On the other hand, a bearing detector 6 for detecting the ongoing direction of own ship is provided and the detection signal thereof is inputted into a rate of change detector 7. Then, when a discriminator 3 judges that the ongoing direction of own ship is above a fixed angle, a control signal applied to the averaging circuit 2 to reduce the time constant of the averaging circuit 2. In this manner, display will not be unstable even in the changing area of the ongoing direction. |
