<p>PURPOSE:To quicken the character input operation and to reduce the frequency of error generation by applying release processing to a protruded writing under a prescribed condition when the hand-writing is protruded out of a square section. CONSTITUTION:An input tablet 2 on which square sections 8 for character description are formed in an area for hand-written character input, an input pen 9 contacting a pen tip to the section of the input tablet 2 and inputting hand-written character, and a recognizing processing part fetching the hand- written character input to the input tablet 2 and executing the character recognizing processing are provided. On the other hand, when the pen-down position is at the outside of the basic area, whether or not the position is within an expanded area or whether or not the position is within an expanded stroke segmentation face is decided. When both the decisions are YES, the pen contact is handled to be within the basic area and the pen position coordinate is written.</p> |
