PURPOSE:To improve a photosensitivity, a spectral sensitization, a definition and a color separation ability of the titled element by incorporating a specific cumalin compd. to a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The specific compd. shown by formula wherein (n) and (m) are each 0-2, (p) and (q) are each 0 or 1, L is a methine group, R1 and R2 are each an alkyl group, R3 and R4 are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, an alkoxy, a hydroxy, an amino group or a halogen atom, Z and Z' are each an atom capable of forming a five or a six membered ring, X<-> is an anionic group, (r) is 1 or 2, is incorporated to the prescribed emulsion layer. The prescribed compd. is incorporated 5X10<-7>-5X10<-3> mol per 1mol silver halide. Since the prescribed compd. shown by the formula is incorporated to the above described emulsion layer, the titled element having useful functions of a sensitizer, a coloring matter, a filter coating material, an antihalation dye and antiirradiation dye is obtd. |
