PURPOSE:To observe closely a timing of a signal to be observed, and to observe the whole waveform of the signal by displaying a signal on which a high frequency signal synchronizing with the signal to be observed has been superposed, by using one channel of an oscilloscope. CONSTITUTION:An AND output of each output of a reference pulse generating circuit 3 and a high frequency signal generating circuit 4 is added 7 to a signal to be observed 6. When a peak of the signal to be observed 6 having a waveform D is made to conform with a reference time, an adding output 8 is inputted to one channel of an oscilloscope, and displayed as a waveform E. Subsequently, the adjusting means is operated by seeing this display picture, so that a waveform of a high frequency signal is started to be superposed from a peak of a waveform of the signal 6. Also, the frequency of the high frequency signal is set highly to the extent that it can be identified on the picture, comparing with a frequency of the signal 6.
