PURPOSE:To attain sufficient junction by joining a base plate consisting of anoxidized copper and a cap through a metallic member, whose electric resistance is higher than that of materials forming the base plate, by connection welding. CONSTITUTION:A base plate 11 is formed with anoxidized copper. A solder material is used to solder a ring-shaped metallic member 13 consisting of Fe-Ni- Co to a weld position on the base plate 11 to a cap k2, and the cap 12 is resistance-welded to the position where the member 13 is soldered. Then, heat is generated in the part of a projection 14 of a cap flange brought into contact with this high-resistance member 13, and the part of the member 13 is melted to weld the cap 12 and the base plate 11 sufficiently. Thus, an infrared detecting element is cooled sufficiently because the base plate 11 consisting of anoxidized copper has a high heat conductivity, and the infrared detecting element has a good detection characteristic and a high reliability. |
