PURPOSE:To prevent a nontransferred toner from accumulating on the rough surface of a recording belt by arranging a plate magnet opposite to said belt apart at a prescribed interval near the position of a conductive roller to be separated from the belt and attracting the scattering nontransferred toner to this magnet. CONSTITUTION:The toner 19 of the recording belt 3 is transferred to a recording paper 12 by using a transfer roller 13, at that time, an electrostatic charge 20 of a latent image remaining on the recesses on the insulating belt 3 without leaking to the conductive roller 9 and charge 21 induced on the surface of the roller 9 with this charge 20 cause peeling discharge when the insulating belt 3 is separated from the conductive roller 9, and disturbance of an electric field near the position C of the roller 9, resulting in scattering of the nontransferred toner 19A. This toner 19A is attracted to the permanent plate magnet 31 of the electrostatic recording device, thus permitting accumulation of the untransferred toner on the rough surface of the recording belt 3 to be prevented. |
