PURPOSE:To provide a composition composed of a polyethylene, a specific ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and/or ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer, and a polyethylene glycol, and having improved water-treeing resistance and electrical treeing resistance and excellent DC characteristics. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) a polyethylene, (B) an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and/or ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer, and (C) a polyethylene glycol. The content of vinyl acetate (VA wt%) in the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, the ethyl acrylate content (EA wt%) in the ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer or their sum in the component B is 0.5-10wt%, and the content of the component C in the composition is 0.2-10wt%. |
